07 ram 1500 - brake controller and hot wire
Hello Truckers,
I got a 07 ram 1500 truck last week with 119k miles. Trying to setup trailer wiring for 7 pin controller. Installing the brake controller should be a plug and play.
Truck has 4 pin connector at the rear, so i would need to run a wire across for trailer brake and hot wire so that i can convert into 7 pin.
For brake controller I see a blue plug under steering, what wire should i run for brake controller from that plug? Is that a blue one as well? How do i test the wire?
For hot wire, i m trying to setup a breaker for 30amp, and i prefer to not draw any power when the key is in lock position. What would be the correct place to get 12v 30amp for hot wire?
