I’m installing a double din radio and backup camera and want to take the cord through the vent. How do I lower the back of the backseats?

 

Unbolt the seats at the bottom and lift straight up. Quad cab seats don't release.

 

Lift the bottoms to access the nuts, take them off. Lift and unhook the seats. Where are you mounting the camera? CHMSL? I did one couple years ago and the harness that came with it (factory looking tailgate handle with cam) had enough to run it under the length of the truck.

 

That is good to know. I was just going to do one on the license plate, but this is good to know and maybe I can just run it through the firewall.

Combined the install with a remote lock solenoid: https://www.americantrucks.com/pace-...-1500-ram.html, ties right into the stock power lock system and ran all the wiring together.
