Default TCM tomfoolery

While I wait on some answers on putting an ATS Diesel Co-Pilot unit the 5.7 hemi in, I was looking through the shop book and saw a shift schedule based on trans oil temp...

Look at all those shift schedules

From what I remember of my 04 with my superchips, the trans tuning delayed my 2-3 and 3-4 upshifts. What if I uh, intercepted the trans temp signal before it hit the TCM and fed it a fixed value corresponding to a temp of between -12f and 10f? I could select any shift schedule baked into the unit I wanted.

The only downfall I see I lose TC lockup if I did that.

Edit - This is '03 specific
