Fuel tank sump install

Does anyone know how far down into the tank the fuel pump/fuel level module sits. Don't want to damage it when drilling for a sump install.

There's a little clearance, at least 3/4 inch, from the top of the actual fuel pump itself. There are parts of the tank that are nearly flush with the bed though.
