2005 ram 2500 transmission in a 2006 cummins

Hey guys, I am wondering if a transfer case out of a 2005 ram 2500 with the 5.7 hemi will work in a 2006 5.9 24v cummins, both transfercases are manual shift and i am wondering if they will interchange? I did some internet research but i’m looking for somebody that has some real life experiences.
