I got my fog light switch for the ram today. It's the Dakota switch with fogs and Auto headlights and I want to tell everyone that it worked out of the box for me. The light sensing isn't working obviously but the lights off with the key off part of the auto setting works. There is no headlight reminder when in this setting due to the fact that it automatically turns the headlights off with the key off. This is a 2007 dodge ram 1500 SLT quad cab 4x4 we never got the auto option for our trucks and it's amazing that it worked out of the box. Fog of course works once programmed but no programming is needed otherwise for the auto function.
Part is https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...89276&jsn=1128 and it's currently out of stock because of me (I'm sorry). I thought i'd share this information with anyone wanting to improve the functionality of their trucks.

Very similar to the LX car switch (minus the cargo lol). Auto headlights are a function of the switch. There used to be a switch mod the LX guys would do that would allow it to go to that detent and engage auto headlights.

I thought that was a function of the computer because you know these trucks and how everything has to be talked to the TIPM. According to this post https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ht-switch.html it sounded like that auto had to be done separately else it would function as an off switch which now makes me curious if they got a bum switch. I might add real auto headlights to my truck with this nite module they mentioned and wire it into the switch.Originally Posted by Magnoom
