Default New headlights.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500, i replace the headlight assembly and new bulbs came with them. I tossed the old assembly and bulbs. So the headlights and blinkers work fine when the lights are off but when i turn the headlights on and use the blinkers, the truck thinks there’s a light out. I get the blinking “ light out “ on the dash and the dinging noise. … ive tried lower wattage bulbs but still a problem. Any ideas?

Did you toss the old turn signal sockets where the bulbs connect to? They look like the picture below.

No i havnt replace the blinker connection. A whole new connector came with the headlight assembly and plugs right into the wire harness plug to the truck. I replaced the head light and blinker bulbs from the ones that came with the headlight assembly. Still the same problem persists.

Your problem is the signal socket. You need the one from old light. Had the same problem years ago on my 2003.
