how do you park?
I usually back in, as the turning radius on this thing is not exactly it's selling point, and trying to back OUT of a tight parking space is alot harder than trying to back INTO it. If it's a directional spot, I'll usuall pull straight in. If I'm against a curb or it's the edge of the parking lot, I'll usually always back in. If I'm going to be pulling face to face with another vehicle in the spot across from me, I'll usually pull straight in as opposed to taking the chance of backing into them. That would just be embarassing.
I tend not to park in too crowded of spots moreso because this thing's a bitch to maneuver in tight spaces, not because I don't want people hitting me. It's just a vehicle. I'm not sentimentally attached to it. I laugh at those people who park waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy down at the end of the parking lot so other people won't park next to them. Sometimes when I'm bored and have some free time I'll park my truck/car/bike right next to them. REALLY pisses people off.

a friend of mine manages a QT gas station here in Georgia and told me that most people who back into the spots at his store are doing so because their tag is expired...
and it's true...start looking at people's license plates that back into spots....several are always expired

I'm just saying, it's a car or a truck or a motorcycle...it's inanimate. If your vehicle defines who you are, then you need to get out more. If you are afraid to drive your car/truck/bike because it will get hit, knicked, or stolen....then don't drive it. ****, there are MILLIONS of vehicles on the road in this country. Something's gonna happen to your precious sometime. Why get pissed over it. Dont' go around openly inviting it, but dont' be frikkin' **** about it. Do you turn the key seven times in the lock before you get in, too?
Drive. Enjoy. Repeat.
Not much more to it in life.
By NO means does my truck define who I am, I haul with it, tow with it, and use it for my daily driver. But I also want to keep it dent and scratch free as long as possible, cause these trucks are not cheap and I would like to get a decent price for it when I'm ready to sell!!!! You just sound like one of the younger generation who's parents bought the truck for them, and they have no realization of the value of money!!!!
