hi: just wondering if there is a post on this from before or if anyone has run into this, when i tow a snowmobile trailer roughly 2000# it constantly down shifts going up hills in tow mode, it's going in for service this week it has 29,000 mi. could it be an adjustment i can't beleive with all the power it would be a dog towing, any input would be great...happy new yea

 

There is a flash for the cpu to fix this. Justt mention it when you bring it in.

 

If you don't have the towing package then that's what happens. Your transmission is pretty smart,it's telling you to shift into drive and take it out of over drive. Trucks with the towing package have a button on the end of the shifting lever. We push it and the truck goes into the towing mode. it even says it on the dash. Maybe if you look you may have that button and not know it . If you have the towing package you still have to push the button in.When you feel it down shift is the dash light still reading tow mode?
