cop pulled me over
this state trooper pulled me over and told me he paced me doing 70 when i had my cruise set at 60. so since i went from a stock 17" to a 22" do i need to have my speed odometer calabrated? i did not think i would need to since they put 20's some of these trucks stock. if any one could help it would be great thanks

speedometers are calibrated to axle ratio and tire size.
lets's say...2000rpm w/17" tire=60mph
same 2000rpm w/20"tire =70mph larger diameter tire=more speed.

You need to reset you Pinion factor in the Anti-Lock Brake controller. You should be able to find the correct one on the net for your setup. The factory sets the pinion factor based on tire size, so that is why they can put 17's or 20's on without having the speedo issue. Also, the pinion factor is based on tire size, and not rim size, so you could end up with several different factors for 17 inch tires.
