2003 Ram 1500 - Fuse shorting out
So I have a problem where as soon as I start my truck the fuse blows. The fuse in question is fuse nr 51 which would as stated on the lid for the fuse box be the, Cluster, Radio and Underhood Lamp. The radio obviously doesn't work neither does the clicker on my keys and it won't connect to the OBD scanner. To be totally honest I have absolutely no clue what the cluster is, and the underhood lamp seems to be missing along with the wiring for it. My grand plan to fix this was to find everything that fuse nr 51 affects and to trace all the wiring back and forth until I find if it's shorting out anywhere. Only problem is I don't know what else it would be because it's not the radio or underhood lamp!
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or where to look?

I think fuse 51 for your year is the ignition off demand. Almost always a power wire that is shorted to ground for underhood lamp, radio memory, door locks, OBD plug, or door chime. Often it's a power wire that is crimped and touching ground. Pull fuses of all ignition off items, replace fuse 51, then put the other fuses back one at a time to see which blows 51.
Look around under the driver's console for loose wires.
