04 Dodge Ram 4.7L / P0700 / P0730 Code - Electrical (545RFE);
Any help our guidance appreciated;
Ok facts, Wife borrows truck, limps it home, still iffy on details, hmmmm.
Trans would not engage in Drive, just slipped, P0700 code on scanner (vague).
1) Change fluid and both filters, no change, still slipping in Drive 1st/2nd/R OK
2) Replace Solenoid Pack in Valve Body, no difference (That was fun)
3) Replace both 20 amp fuse and 40 amp relay, no difference P0733 shows up on scanner this time
4) Replace Front Trans Input Speed Sensor, no change, take front speed sensor and replace with rear, no change.
5) Take both positive and negative leads off for 30 minutes, reset EPM, now only get code P0700.
As soon as I turn key in accessory mode, P0700 code comes on every time, so It has to be electrical.
If truck is cold, I can get into 1st, 2nd & 3rd for a short period, then it starts slipping. I know the fluid thins as
it heats up, but that still does not explain the P700 code as soon as I put key in accessory mode.
Any thought, any guidance appreciated !!!
