Angry Rough idle

I have a 03 Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi. Had fuel issue, died suddenly. No fuel to rail. Changed pump, cleared codes. Started and ran, but no fuel gauge. Gave code for fuel level unit. Ran fine otherwise. I do have exhaust leak prior to. Put 6 gallons of fuel in when changed pump. Ran fine to work, (6miles), then to the gas station, (6miles). Put 10 more gallons of fuel in, (nervous about no gauge). Drove 1.4 miles home and it started chocking out. Didn't die, but idle dropped to 500 rpm and sounds like a tank. Still have fuel to the rail, cleaned throttle body well, checked plugs, cleaned sensors, Air intake and map, no difference. Please help.

Not sure, bought at Orielys. The pump looked identical except float was a little different. I still have original.

Note: the pump looked identical, except the float. The original came out of it holder at an angle to the left. The new one came out of the holder straight down.
