Fuel Level Sensor
I have an 2007, RAM 2500 5.7 gas. I was driving the other day and I threw a code. The low fuel indicator light came on and the gas gauge read empty. When I would drive (accelerate) the light would go off and the gas gauge would read proper. I lived with it for a few days after I found out the code was 'fuel level sensor' and it was $355 for the part and it was in the tank. (didn't find out labor cost). As it would be I came out one morning and the battery was dead. I ended up replacing the battery and the fuel indicator light went off?? Tonight, when I was at idle, the low fuel indicator light came on again, gas gauge read empty, and when I started driving the gauge read correct and the indicator light went off. Before I spend that kind of money I need a better idea of what's going on,
i.e the light went off when I replaced the battery, now it has come back on when I am at idle, when I start to drive the indicator light goes back off and the gauge reads correct. Any ideas on what might be going on? TIA

That's what I was wondering. I will check tomorrow. I was just hoping someone else thought the same thing
Subsequently, when I increase RPM the alternator increases output and so the fuel light would go off. Thank you for the input...
