Question Fuel Level Sensor

I have an 2007, RAM 2500 5.7 gas. I was driving the other day and I threw a code. The low fuel indicator light came on and the gas gauge read empty. When I would drive (accelerate) the light would go off and the gas gauge would read proper. I lived with it for a few days after I found out the code was 'fuel level sensor' and it was $355 for the part and it was in the tank. (didn't find out labor cost). As it would be I came out one morning and the battery was dead. I ended up replacing the battery and the fuel indicator light went off?? Tonight, when I was at idle, the low fuel indicator light came on again, gas gauge read empty, and when I started driving the gauge read correct and the indicator light went off. Before I spend that kind of money I need a better idea of what's going on,
i.e the light went off when I replaced the battery, now it has come back on when I am at idle, when I start to drive the indicator light goes back off and the gauge reads correct. Any ideas on what might be going on? TIA
signed,
stumped

Is your battery charging? What's the voltage at idle/driving

Thumbs up RE: Fuel Level Sensor

That's what I was wondering. I will check tomorrow. I was just hoping someone else thought the same thing Subsequently, when I increase RPM the alternator increases output and so the fuel light would go off. Thank you for the input...

Just to cross stuff of a list, when you check charging D/C voltage, flip it over to A/C and see what it reads
