Default Anyone with in depth knowledge of the printed circuit board inside TIPM


What is this spot? Can it be bypassed, repaired, made to function? If so please instruct me how. Thank you
The spot up next to the relay

Typical issue where the coating was thin and moisture destroyed the trace. I have soldered a piece of wire to reconnect the trace, probably temporary fix for you while you look for a good used one. scrape the coating off on either side of that oxidized spot and solder a wire to bridge it.

What year is this from?

It's an 03. I have a used tipm already from same exact truck as mine. Would I have to get it programmed ?

03 wasn't a TIPM, it was an IPM. I don't think there is programming associated with the IPM, but I don't know for sure because I repaired my original. Make sure the part numbers are identical.

I opened up my spare IPM tonight, here is what that section of board should look like:



Unfortunately, on the other side of the board near the connector was pretty dirty. After cleaning it, I found that it has a trace that is damaged. I'll have to repair that to make it 100% again.

Here is the bad spot on my spare:
