Hey my friend? Did you ever get that engine swap in that Dodge 1500 2004? Right now I have a Dodge Ram 1500 2003 4.7 liter no EGR. I am in the process swapping with a 2005 engine 4.7 rebuilt but it has the EGR. I didn't originally have a EGR as I don't need. I have the new engine but cannot find a Blocking Plate for the EGR anywhere. Not sure how to eliminate this? What did you do and what would help this work? I have been told the 2005 4.7 engine would work fine but just block the EGR or gasket. By the way I'm also in Houston, TX.
