2003 Ram 1500 - Interior lights won't shut off..
Have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 4.7L with a standard cab - it's stripped down, no power door locks or power mirrors. The only interior light is in the headliner between the seats by the rear window and stays on constantly, if I move the dimmer dial/switch all the way to the bottom it does not turn off it only becomes very dim.
I've replaced the light switch in the dash, no change still does it. With the truck off and key removed doors shut the light stays on and never shuts off. I have no door ajar light, I sprayed wd40 on the door latches I see no change in the light. Checked the fuse for interior illumination, it's fine.
What is the problem? Should I replace the jamb switches? I assume they are not separate from the latch mechanism as I see no type of button/switch anywhere on the door or the door frame on the cab?
Very annoyed would appreciate some help with this.
Thanks
