2007 Ram 3500 Air Bag Light
Within 10sec to 5 mins of starting engine the "Air Bag" light will come on, along with a single alarm chime. When this happens, I also lose the "Heat and AC" controls. No code can be detected that relates to the "Air Bag" system (only code that my mechanic could find was something relayed to "Not Original Key In Use"). A friend of his advised that problem was with the computer and that it needed to be re-flashed by a dealer.
Have tried the following:
Clear any codes that where present, have disconnected both batteries and left unhooked for about 20 minutes (alarm still comes back on), checked fuses (all good) and checked that both seat belt for lose wires that relate to the seat belt safety system (all good, nothing lose).
Engine and exhaust are stock, No upgrades.
Any thoughts or ideas on what to do?
All local Dodge Dealers in my area have a back log of 15 to 30 days wait for service.
Thanks, George
