Default Fuel tank

Need some help. I recently punctured my fuel tank and in the process of looking to find a replacement, I wound up with what someone told me was off a 2006 1500 SLT. However, when I look up the number on the tank (52102541AC), I come up with nothing. I do know that I need a 52113589AJ but this one was free and I thought I would see if it was compatible? Anyone know what that 5210… tank is from???

Its funny researching around your tank part number instantly turns back results 04-06 1500 Fuel tank with lots of places to buy. The 5210 fuel tank not so much. best results I can find are the 5210 fits an 03.

Reasons I can think of it has it different part number are its still magnum motor era, no hemi, evap was maybe designed different, fuel pump designed different, dodge just likes to randomly change stuff that doesn't need to, capacity. As far as if it will work for you I couldn't say. Especially without seeing it.

Have you looked into epoxy repair? Might be an option, depending on how large the hole is.

Thank you for taking the time to look. Since I posted this I called a dodge dealer to look the number up and they couldn’t find any info on that number either.?

Looking into that option this weekend. Hole is the size of a dime. Been busy and I’m tackling this problem this weekend. But the epoxy may work. Thank you.
