2006 Hemi temp reading?
Tonight I was driving my 2006 Ram 1500 Hemi QC here in San Diego at a cool 63 degrees. I looked at the gauge for the engine temp and the needle was just a shade to the cool side of the middle. I seem to remember my 4.7L Durango running about 1/4 of the gauge. Does anyone know what temp these Hemi's are set to run?
Thanks for any info on this!

most modern temperature gauges are dummy lights... they are set to center and only go over that if you are overheating... ou can drive for hours in different conditions and the gauge will always read dead center...
Not sure I agree with frogslinger. My 06 Hemi Ram when it is at "normal" operating tempature is reading at about the same as yours HemiFireguy. In very cold conditions my temp gauge will read lower than that until the engine fully warms up. I've pulled a trailer a few times and noticed the temp gauge will read a little above normal when fully loaded and going up thruogh steep terrain in low gears.
