Default Evap Leak Suggestions

While I was changing my fuel pump, I forgot to disconnect the connector for the overfill line coming from the fuel nozzle to the gas tank. I dropped the tank and in the process broke the nipple on the fuel tank and the piece is broken in half so there's no way I can repair it. Anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this problem? I'm not too worried about the evap leak but I just don't want my truck to have codes. I thought about purchasing a new tank but they're all discontinued and chasing part numbers led to nowhere. Eventually I find one for $1400!! I really don't want to drop the money until I run all of my options out so I thought I'd pick the forums brain, give me your suggestions!

A pic would help. Are you sure you're not referring to the vent tube?

Sorry for getting back to this so late, it's the small line for the nozzle, the line runs directly to the fuel Co trol valve and it could very well be the vent line, I just assumed it was the overfill due to its position. I'll post a pic shortly.
