Default K&N vs drop in cloth

Whats the better air filter to go with? I here K&N's can gum up the throttle body. Is this because people are cleaning them and putting them back in while there still wet? And so far no bad news about the drop in cloth.

Most folks that have this problem over oiling the filter after cleaning, this sucks a fine oil mist into the intake tube, causing the oil residue to attract dust etc.K&N is a good filter if you care for them correctly

I have recently purchased a true flow CAI kit, and thus far I have no complaints. I like the kit because you get to keep your factory air box. The whole kit cost about $230. Yes, true flow does use an oil similar to K & N but if used properly there should be no problem.

Also, over-oiling the new filters can fry the air sensor. I talked to a mechanic about this and he said there is really no need to keep oiling the filter unless you drive in a sandstorm 24/7. They are fine the way the come from the K&N factory.
