Default Bypassing EVAP canisters

So, if you're like me and live in a state that doesn't do emissions testing, I came up with a solution to bypass my EVAP hoses and canisters. After getting repeated 0456 codes(i think that's the number), I climbed under and found this...

So that makes sense. I then started looking into replacing all that stuff, and come to find out that the cheapest chinamart knock off vapor canister is over a hundred dollars (mopar was like $200+), and I couldn't find the other canister for sale anywhere. The broken fitting on the lower hose was the evap purge valve filter, which as another $50+ if I remember right. So I think about my options for a while and decide to try to bypass that stuff and try to keep the rest of the system in tact, so I will stop throwing codes. I couldn't find anything helpful online, so I decided to wing it. After all, it's wasn't going to be any worse that it was already. After removing everything, I found the first canister (rounder body) has a rubber fitting that connects to two 1/4in hoses (one from gas tank area, and one going up front) To replace it, I took a plastic 1/4 in barbed hose tee. Then I used some left over 1/4in hose to go to a plastic 1/4in barbed hose fitting that has 1/2in pipe thread on the other side, a 1/2in coupler, and a 5/8in hose barb fitting. I bought 3 feet of 5/8 hose from napa (having four feet would have been better) and went from that fitting to the purge valve, and new 5/8in hose out of the valve into the hard pipe that runs to the engine bay. I put the bracket back in just to have something to secure everything to with zipties. All these fittings were found at a local farm store for about $15, and the hose was another $10 or so. I'm sure it could have been done cleaner, but a couple hundred miles later and no codes, so I'm happy with it. If anyone is interested I'll get some pics as soon as the weather allows.
