After pulling the drop-in out and finding damaged paint after just 6 weeks the dealer repainted the bed of the truck. Now I'm thinking a bed mat just to place in when needed. I think spray in is too permanant. Does the mat make sense?
Where are you going to keep the mat? At home? It does not sound practical if you are using a truck as a truck. If you only haul things a couple of times a year a mat would be fine. I have had my last 5 trucks Rhino lined (I know that their are other brands out there that are just as good or better but I have had great luck with Rhino) and will do it to every truck I buy in the future. It's in place all time, quiets the bed noise, and prevents scratches and rust. I haul things quite frequently and I couldn't imagine having to run home and get a mat out of the garage. I even shovel snow out of the bed with no damage. I find it pays for itself.
Why in the world would you do that? The purpose of a bedliner is to protect the bed. Spray-in linings keep things from sliding around easily. Spend money then spend more money to cover it up.
Go with a spray in...Line-X is a excellent brand.....besides I had a heavy rubber matt in my last truck and it was heavy to remove and put in....not to mention the scratches
He stated that he pulled out his drop in liner. I mean, if he already has one, why throw it away? A drop in liner does protect your truck bed from items that you drop into the bed whereas LineX will just dent along with the sheet metal under it.
Yeh, if you're going t do that don't waste the money on the expensive stuff. Just get the roll-on stuff from wally world then drop in the bed liner.........
