Thumbs down 2007 ram 1500 5.7 hemi MDS Solenoid issues

My MDS solenoid for cylinder 1 was bad so I ordered 4 new ones just incase the other three were going bad as well. After I took off the manifold and replaced the 4 solenoids, I double checked that all of my connectors were snug and the solenoids were tightened down. I got everything put back together and went to run a test drive. Everything was running smoothly again for about a minute and then my scanner said my 7th cylinder is misfiring now, my engine is backfiring when I accelerate to high RMPs as well. I am going to have to take everything back apart again. Should i just fully bypass the system or was it possible that I missed something or even possibly got a bad new part.

Did you replace these solenoids with mopar factory parts? While I am not familiar with MDS (I had to look it up to see what you are talking about) I do feel that over maintaining a vehicle with other than factory parts many time will actually weaken a vehicle in reliability and sometimes efficiency and power.

If I see a part that says 'lifetime warranty' I know from past experience that they are telling me that I will likely spend the remainder of my lifetime replacing that same part over and over again for free...

Please return and let us know what you do to get your pickup running reliable again. Hopefully you can fix it but even if you end up taking it to a shop, dealership, or another mechanic, please help us to learn by returning and telling what you find and what you end up doing.
Cheers
