2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI
Recently picked up another (my 3rd) 2005 RAM.
This one was specifically bought for being a plow truck. It came with a Blizzard Plow.
Anyway, the truck is hard starting. And once running, has a bumpy idle. Like it has a hot cam installed. I doubt it has a aftermarket cam.
I checked the spark plugs, and sure enough it has new, NGK iridium plugs. They have almost no center electrode. Definitely the wrong plugs installed.
I have ordered the correct Champion 570, RE14MCC4 for the truck.
I plan to install them soon. Just did them on my 2005 RAM 2500. Went well.
I am interested in seeing what effect (if any) has to improving the plow truck's starting and idle quality.
Will report back.😜
