Default CHECK GAUGES Light & tach

Hi,
I have a 2003 Ram1500 Quad Cab with the Hemi and only 114800 miles on it. (Original owner)

When I start and the gauges settle, I get a ding and the "CHECK GAUGES" Light. All seem to be working. Oil pressure, temperature, fuel level, etc. My tach does read low and has for some time. On a scan tool, I get a "battery temp high' code. No check engine light or other lights illuminated.

I am under the impression that I would need to get another gauge cluster to remedy the tach issue. It will read 200 or so RPM at idle and move up as I accelerate, but it doesn't match my scan tool. Speedo is fine. I remember something from years ago about removing the cluster and reflowing the solder for the tach. Anyone done that?

Thanks for any help!
