03 ram 4.7 545rfe issues TCC locking & unlocking 40-45mph
Had a replacement trans and new torque converter put in after a valve body failure falsely diagnosd as needing a complete rebuild 😡. Now the transmission in my '03 1500 is having the strange issue in third gear between 40 and 45 mph. The torque converter engages and disengages at light throttle 1500-2100 RPMs . I assume you would call this cycling. I've read about the throttle position sensor causing this the alternator and bad grounds the transmission shifts smoothly until this point. Then it will start to bounce around causing this misfiring feeling at light throttle, The live data on my scanner points the torque converter locking and unlocking during these what I believed were misfiring thuds I feel ! the hotter the trans the worse the issue. Also the scanner is telling me the line pressure is ridiculously high ! I'm just wondering if anybody has clear definitive fixes for this problem to streamline the process? Is it as simple as running a ground wire from the transmission to the chassis? Would that even do anything I've swapped out PCMS cleaned my grounds, swapped out the TPS going to disconnect the alternator today when I take it for a test run and see if that changes anything but I need some serious direction. Thank you in advance
