Rear end help!!
Okay everyone. I have an 07 big horn ram 5.7. I run 35" tires it and need some advice/help. I am wondering if the 35's are makeing the rear end blow out so fast. For a closer inside. I am a volunteer firefighter so this truck has to get up and go when it's time. I have gone through 3 rear ends, all being stock. Question is, What gear ratio or rear end will hold up? I love this truck and the set up but not sure if I am doing something wrong.
1500 2500 3500?
I would assume 1500 due to having rear end issues on 35s. Generally speaking 35s perform well with 4.10s and 4.56s is a common size as well for Jeeps and stuff. In the end you have to decide how much road speed/MPG's you want to compromise for the 35s. The lower the gear the better the strength. I'm not sure what you have now. If you have 3.21s you would definitely want to size up, 3.92s shouldn't be to bad.
What are you breakings, shafts, hubs, ring gears?

It is a 1500, I am unsure of the exact gear ratio for the rear as it was one a buddy of mine pulled, I want to say it's the 3.9. I haven't been able to find the info plate. Would I be able and better with a 2500 rear end?
Again the question would be what are you breaking, a street truck running 35s shoud be just fine, so it surprises me you've gone through 3 rear ends, makes me question what else you're doing with it. I would think the front on these would grenade before the rear, unless you're 2wd
It's a 4x4 drive. Like stated in original post. I am a first responder. This truck is pushed pretty hard at times as it has to make the calls to save a life/ put out fires. I can say the front end is shot on it as well I can't keep good ball joints under it. I am almost to the point that this truck is just not strong enough to deal with the acceleration and speeds it's put through. I will look into the breaking gear and get back with you o. That.
If you are breaking the ring gear, then yes a 3/4 upgrade would probably help, it sounds like mostly on road driving so 4x4 isn't a factor.
You could swap to a 3/4 if you have the desire. I have no first hand experience with this. It would not be a direct swap I don't believe, but could be easier than you think. Its how much you want to invest in this truck vs buying a different one
You upgrade one component, what's the next failure point
