Default Transmission P0740

Hello all, I have a 2005 2WD 4.7 with an automatic transmission. I already changed the oil and filters, but it came back on. What should be my next step? It has 111,200 miles
Thank you..

Code indicates a problem with the TCC circuit, this is going to be a wiring problem most likely, followed by possibly a solenoid issue, followed by possibly a PCM issue.

I would start by inspecting the wiring harness from the trans connector back up into the engine bay, if no obvious signs of damage the next correct step would be to test the circuit from the pcm connector for the TCC solenoid circuit, if this check is in spec then you could be looking at a PCM issue. If its not in spec, I would disconnect the trans connector and inspect for signs of water intrusion or damaged, followed by possible replacement of the solenoid. However, there is lots of "what if" situations involved with every step of this troubleshooting, hard to give a cut and dry answer based on what is found.
