Cheat km's

they only reason i would actually do this is if something broke on my truck and my warranty wouldnt cover it cause of the miles. we all know how bad dodge is on fixing things on our trucks. that is the only reason i would even think about doing this, is to screw the dealer over. they screw thousands of people over so a little service part wouldnt hurt them.

I understand what you mean but what aboutme and everyother owner of used trucks out there. You have to think about that.
I have three 2003 trucks / own 2 so now it makes me wonder???? what if i got played my latest one come with 86.000k OR 186k . lol
I think my next truck is going to be NEW.
I agree very unethical ... not very honest either ... dont know how people can live with themselves.
But
This information is surely stored in some type of NVRam. For those who may not know, it works kind of like the hard drive of your pc and not like the ram memory chips of your pc. Generally speaking, you can turn your pc on and off and the information on the hard drive is still there but the appliacations opened and running at the time you powered off are no longer in Ram.
Non volitile ram (and proms) can it can be cleared but the measures are usually drastic.

I know alot of a-holes that will do anything to save or make a buck. This is nothing sort of robbery, and I hope you get nailed. You are a lousy POS and I hope YOU trade that truck in on a truck that has "low miles"........you pickin' up what I am layin' down, idiot?

I know it is possible with the 03' and earlier models specially in the rams but I dont know how it is doneand dont care to know how.
Now if it was likean old stockchevy like my 67' then all you gotta do is stick it in reverse and you can watch the odometer go backwards which really sucks when you are trying to track your mileage for work or other variouse projects and you have to back up alot. I know alot of people who did this sort of thing back in the day with their older cars so that they could make a few bucks. One of my neighbors had a stock road runner and before he sold it he jacked up the rear end and put it reverse and let it run in reverse till the gas tank went empty a few times to make it look like it was a low mileage car. He got away with it too which really pissed me off!! Im glad it is vurtually impossible to cheat the system with the newer cars.

I am going to have to get on the bandwagon of deleting these Odometer threads... It sad to see grown men/women yelling at eachother over the internet... No way am I saying odometer fraud is OK, but why raise your stress levels and everyone elses because someone is stupid? Just relax and ask for these threads to be deleted as them come. I would also like to request, maybe if the same person keeps asking after the thread is deleted they be banned...
