Ipod with built in CD changer?
Why not go with a different MP3 player, other than the iPod??? I guess because the ease of use, the availability of add-ons, and Apple seems to near flawless products... for now anyway. Idon't have an iPod yert, but I hope my assumptions are right.

I just think its silly as to how much people are willing to pay for a 'brand name' these.
In my case I didn't really shop around. My in-laws gave me a 4 Gig Nano for Christmas. The best deal is to probably get one that is Napster compatible. Otherwise you'll pay for every song you download as opposed to a subscription for unlimited downloads, which is the way to go if you are really into music. I like the Nano because it is the slimmest profile of any I've seen for 4 Gig, and the controls are intuitively easy. I don't download much because I already have just about every CD I want already. But I agree that the add-on's are a huge plus for Apple also.
This is a general response to a few people. Firtst of all, in my 04 ram there is now way the trim around the radio was coming off without removing the panel under the steering wheel due to a hidden screw. Second of all, I have an iPod and havnt paid a penny for one of the 3,000 songs thats on it. Either rim them from cds, and itunes converts the file automatically or download them from somewhere else for free and the same thing happens. I love my ipod and wouldnt go to another mp3 at all. It is simple and easy to use and I have not had one problem with in in over a year of use in the truck and for portable use. And if your worried about losing the cd changer to an iPod or mp3 player alike, dont worry about, since I go the adpapter for the truck I have not listened to a cd since, 2 months so far, its all on the ipod.
I have an 05 Ram 1500 with RBQ Infinity stereo system. I want to still use my 6-disc changer as well as my iPod. I found this item in a Google search:
http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/moipinkit.html
Can anybody comment on this whether you think it will work with my radio or not? Says it works with RBQ, but I don't want to lose the 6-disc changer! Sure I can rip a CD to the iPod, but don't necessarily want to do that all the time - sometimes I just want to pop in a CD that someonelends me or maybe I don't have time to rip the disc, orwhatever...I just don't want to lose the changer. I paid for it, I want to keep it.
Also, FM transmitters SUCK. Hence the physical connection that I've beenlooking for forever.
Any helpful replies on this product are much appreciated.
