outside temp sensor

Default outside temp sensor

I have a 2003 4x4 Hemi I'm getting a reading of 130 on console I'm wondering if its the sensor or console I unhooked then rehooked sensor went to -40 that's default I think then went back to 130.Does anybody no what a sensor costs?

The sensor operates from -40 to +40 degrees Celcius, it just so happens -40 C is the same thing as -40 F. You should be able to find a used sensors in the junk yards to to see if yours is faulty. Does the trip computer always show 130? The engine controller uses the ambient temp sensor reading for calculations on 3.7L, 4.7L and 5.7L units.
