I didn't think people worried about mpg when buying a full size truck w/ an 8 cyl engine.

"Should i get an intake and exhaust....will that help????" LOL
Tailgate up or down?
What oil should i use for best gas mileage?
Which size tires give me better mileage 17s or 20s
What rearend should I swap to for better mpg?
and the list goes on.....so trust me....just because people buy the HEMI and a 5000lb truck doesnt mean they dont care about mpg....it means the smile hasnt been whipped from their face yet getting a new vehicle...after two fillups..the questions start.
I have to admit I too was VERY happy when I learned my laramie had AWD..I was like my truck rules...I have everything!!!! But after the 1st fillup...I was cursing my dealer for not asking me if i wanted AWD or 2WD as a normal driving mode...lol
I read this kinda nonsense all the time: Don't even care about MPG if you drive a truck.
It is the owners of pickups, 18 wheel trucks, airplanes, ships...that can SAVE THE MOST MONEY by making simple changes.
A Ram owner can get 16 MPG in mixed driving - I have done this for over 180,000 miles,
but according to this Popular Mechanics survey the average Ram owner only gets 12 MPG.

Figure up the difference over 200,000 miles at today's gasoline prices!
It will pay for months of vacation sitting at the beach!

i personally dont care about how often i must fill her up. It was really just a question to see what happens. I am glad to find out that if you keep it down alot you can mess up the alignment of the bed. therefore i shall drive with it up from now on.
