Default Aftermarket Speakers

Hey guys...I was given some boston 6x9 S95 speakers for Xmas and I am looking for a spacer that has enough mounting clearance. From what I understand the depth on these speakers will be fine but the height will be the issue...Any advise?

Be carfull with spacers they dont always fit well and some times vibrate making a horrible sound.

I just cut my door card so my speaker sites ousde that but at the same time screws threw into the door.

If your speakers look nice, show them off right?

i have no idea what that guy just said ^ BUT I was under the impression that 6x9's would fit into our trucks...go to www.crutchfield.com and input your truck specifications, then see if it'll fit...i think its either 6x9's or 6.5"...i have the factory speakers in and a sub in the back, if you get a good enough head unit it shouldnt distort the factory speakers too badly...(just to let you know.)

I ran 6.5 componants in the rear doors with tweeter and 6x9's in the front. (I will replace them with componants and tweeters as well!)

The system sounds awesome and no rattle.
I also ran two 12's in the rear. BUt I am seriously considering buying some noise dampening material to make it sound even better and deeper for competition.

I just recently installed pioneer 6x9's in the doors and i was able to use the mounting bracket from the factory speakers. I just removed it from the factory speakers, trimed it a bit and snapped in into place on the pioneers. It takes up some of the depth so the speaker sits flat in the hole.
It seems odd that there would be a height issue with a 6x9. Is the edge really thick?
