Painted Door Handles Aftermarket - Need Help!
i own a 2005 Hemi Ram (QC) - black.
i really like everything about this truck, but i can´t stand those plastic door handles.
i searched ebay and other sources, but i can´t find painted aftermarket door handles, just chrome ones.
has anybody an idea where i could get some painted door handles? i just don´t wanna paint mine!

The chrome ones are just plastic overlays. In my very bad experience the plastic door handles are the vulnerable point for thieves.
It is how they gained entry into mine and stole it (long story).
Anywho, when I got her back, I went to stylinconcepts.com and got the solid billet aluminum door handles, alittle pricey, but peace of mind is worth it.
Just My $0.03 ( adjusted for inflation)

On the contrary I have stainless steel overlays on mine and not that crappy chrome plastic overlay the dealer sells.
You can find stainless steel overlays on ebay for as little as $100 for all 5 of them (Quad Cab).
The cons about painting them is that if they scratch or chip, you are screwed.
A smart idea would be to buy a set of stainless steel ones and merely have them powdercoated or painted to the color you want.
The metal of the stainless steel will hold paint far better than plastic will.

Dont think it matters if they're plastic or Billet!!
The thin sheet metal they build these things out of these days Will Give!!
If not, they do like the Chevy's, Ole Screwdriver Under the door handle!

why dont you want to paint yours? just get the texture sanded down and plastic prep them and spray them. any body shop should be able to do it.

Wow, that is up there, is that with them doing all the labor? I can see if they have to remove and install every door handle then yea it could get up there in price, but perhaps if you took out all the handles and brought them to the shop it would be less money. I could see $150 to have 4 handles prepped and painted, but I wouldnt pay more than that.
