speakers in dash?
05laramie, i have a couple of other questions.......i have an alpine head unit, and 4 alpine speakers in the door run by an alpine amp. my question is, do you have an amp for your speakers and also an amp for your sub, or does your head unit run your door speakers and the amp run your sub?? also, i have my amp installed in the center hump underneath the back seat. will the qlogic interfere with that install location? where is your amp located? thanks!!
Heres the run down.....
My truck came stock with the 7-speaker infinity system and the 6-disc changer with sirius.
I replaced the heat unit with my current kenwood unit (mostly because I wanted the scroll options for satellite radio and i wanted more control over the audio)
My sirius box is mounted in the passenger side front kick panel and the antenna is mounted in the center of the top dash.
I replaced the front door speakers and 2 outside tweeters on the dash with an Alpine Type-R 6x9 component system. This is run off the kenwood head unit (52w X4)
My Q-logic box and 10" Infinity Sub are mounted in the rear seat behind the passenger. My Rockford Fosgate amp (400w) is mounted directly underneath my driver seat.
The factory infinity amp behind the glove box was disconnected and left where it is since no one seems to know how to remove it without having to disassemble EVERYTHING...lol
sounds great...no problems. I have the towing package on my truck so the 750amp battery is plenty juice for the system....even when STOPPED and bass BOOMING...the headlights "BARELY" dim every now and then.

what are your rear speakers run off of--the head unit also? and do you think i'll have problems with my amp where its at if i install the qlogic? looking at pictures of the qlogic on crutchfield, it looks like it goes up over the center hump a bit......thanks again for the info!!!
I think you might be able to cheat the amp over enough that it is out of the way of the enclosure....or just move your amp.....
for more pictures of what the q-logic looks like installed....check out my gallery...i have a couple pictures of it so you can see what it looks like in a ram.
