Can anyone tell me what all I need to switch my manual seats to power seats? I already have the new tracks but not the associated wiring and I don't know if my existing plug under the driver seat will plug into the wiring harness for the seat motors. Also, does the wiring for the drivers side motors continue over to the passenger side?

I was just going to get what I needed from a salvage yard but none of them in this area has what I think I need. Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated!

Basically when you get to the truck in the salvage yard get everything that your truck doesnt have that you didnt already get. Im assuming the wiring should be there under the carpet, it was my understanding that they dont make a million different wiring harnesses for all the different options, but they just dont use what isnt added as an option. My question is why go through all the money and trouble for power seats? I dont think I have moved my seat since I bought the truck and could care less whether it was power or not.

 

I know why. It's because as soon as he came home w/ a new truck and his wife saw it didn't have heated seats, he hasn't heard the end of it.

 

That's almost right! My wife feels like she sits too low when she drives it and I wouldn't mind sitting a little higher in it myself.
