Default Dodge 2005 Problems, Problems, Problems

Bought new 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, SB 4x4 Cummins, purchased Jan 2005. Truck now has 20,100 miles.
Here are the problems, over the year.
Windows gaskets replaced, Twice!
Door Gaskets replaced, Twice!
Now for the Oil Leak History:
Took in for Oil leak, replaced Steering Box!
Parked truck in my shop, oil spots on floor.
Still have a oil leak, told that was due to Dealer changing oil, they spilled some in frame!
Had truck serviced oil change!
Parked in Shop a few days later more oil spots on floor.
Returned to dealer, Same story due to oil change!
Even went so far as say it is normal. Which I totally disagreed with.
They were then suppose to put in dye to make certain and basically please me.
Parked in my shop overnight. Again oil spots on floor.
Returned to dealer, mechanic checking truck , I walked out to service area, he knows nothing about the dye.
Service manager seems to have forgot also as he walks away when I mention the black light and dye.
However did find water pump leaking and they cleaned underneath.
However, when I wipe my finger under the truck its black with oil. Same story due to oil change!
They did find that the water pump is leaking and will clean it all so no more oil will leak. Have to order parts.
Parked in shop overnight, you guessed it more oil spots.
I refuse to crawl under my new truck and try to figure this out as that is why I bought a New Truck.
Returned today told them to fix it and keep it until they have solved the problems install new water pump, fix the oil leak.
Did I purchase a LEAMON!!! What can I do if returned and still leaking oil on shop floor.
Who should I contact Etc. I like the truck but this is to much agravation. Please reply!

Default RE: Dodge 2005 Problems, Problems, Problems

I would call Diamler/Chrysler and tell them your problem. I took my truck in because the engine light was on and it turned out I needed the fan motor and housing replaced and the ac rewired but it wasn't covered under warranty and it would be $500. I only had 24,000 miles on the truck and paid a forutne for the extended warrany. I told the dealer everything on this truck should be covered. He said he understood my frustration but his "warranty guy" said these parts were not covered. I immediately called Diamler and explained what was wrong and what the dealer said. They asked which dealer it was and that they would call them to see what was going on. 6 hours later the dealer called and said your truck is fixed and it's covered under warranty. Go figure.
