Tonneau cover opinions
Im new to this forum, I just purchased a 05 Power Wagon yesterday, and I'd like to get a soft tonneau cover. Id like to hear the good and bad of what everyone has. I like the Mopar one, nice cloth look, not the vinyl. I also saw a Lund 3 fold online I like but Im not sure what the material is. Thanks for the help!

I would think the cloth is hard to keep clean.
I have had many different covers over the years. THe only I liked to best was made by Sports Masters. The two things I liked....
1. The snaps will in a fixed postion. This made it easy to put on and never left you at the end with one more to go that is buried further up the rail.
2. It had rubber spacers you could put between the rear rail and the two side rails. Why was this nice? In the summer you could put them in as the cover is easier to strech. In the winter pull them out and you could still get the cover to snap on.
Oh, one more thing, the bows were also very easy to put in and take out.

I have a Truxedo LoPro Soft Tonneau. Rolls up, integrated crossmembers.
Goods:
Easy to use at a moment's notice
Flat
Black matches my truck
Stays tight
Bads:
Not secure
Not as smooth looking as a hard tonneau
Velcro sides, but things inside stay mostly dry

I actually had a sportmasters tilting soft tc on my dak. It was really convenient and the whole thing was easy to take off by 1 person in about 2 minutes. It has a couple of pins that hold the pivoting parts together. Snap the pins out then unsnap the front section and the only thing left there is the horseshoe shaped part near the cab.
I put a Truxedo reg-profile on my last truck and was happy enough with it I just put one on the new truck yesterday. So I guess that's another vote for the Truxedo unit. It's as good as anythign I've seen yet, and better than a lot of other soft tops.
I've also got the Truxedo LoProfile and have been very happy with it. WingViper's right about the goods and bads, but the bads are really just trade-offs. The hard covers do give you those things back, but are a real PITA to take on and off if you haul much stuff with any regularity. The Truxedo also comes in different colors. However, order a swatch first to verify color, as anything but black is non-returnable. I ordered grey to (I thought) match my grey truck and it ended up being about 3 shades too light. No problem, though---just got an auto paint supplier mix up vinyl paint to match the truck (not cheap at about $79/qt), sprayed it on, perfect match. Highly recommend going that route.
Also, most hard covers usually come thru dealers due to shipping. Soft covers are all over the place on the internet. I got mine at TruckXpressions.com and got good price and service.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I has an Access cover and liked everything about it except the way it's mounted. It mounts to the inside of teh rails rather than on top and when you try to clamp them down, they get a little whacked out of shape.
Very easy to operate and as far as soft covers go, probably the best with all teh features it has.
I currently have an Extang Tool box edition on my Power Wagon and it's not bad. The main reason I chose this one was because there are very few truck box compatible covers out there. So I went with the cheapest price. I've had it off twice this winter and putting it back on was no problem, even in the cold.
