I have a 5.7 Hemi in my 03 ram 4x4. Should I run an injector cleaner through my engine and if so how often? It sems to run a little sluggish at times. Just curious I have 50,000 klms on it right now I bought it with 38,000klms on it and never used any injector cleaner yet.

Chevron w/ Techron fuel injector cleaner. I put it in every 2 months on a fill up.

 

The kind of gas you use could change this answer. Some fuels have built in cleaners which are more effective than others.

On higher milage cars (my A to B car) I put in a bottle every oil change.

 

I second the Chevron with Techron!!

I use their fuel inject. cleaner once a month...and the fuel system cleaner w/techron once every 3 months.

sometimes more often....

 

I have used Gumout on my 86 Camaro and it has made a difference, I have yet to run it on my 04 Hemi but maybe I will on the next fill up.

 

I've used both Chevron and Lucas. I usually add a bottle at oil changes. I don't know if it does any good or not...the Lucas seems to make it run a little smooter.
