Default Sparkitty-spark plugs

Interesting title huh? Yes, indeed...1st check this link out...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TAYLO...QQcmdZViewItem

then tell me what you think...how much better are these than the stock Mopar's? Price is $104.00...they have some similar ones for $76.00...will these wires REALLY help or what? Also, I was thinking about NGK Double Platinum plugs...those bitches are $11.71 each...multiplied by 16 plugs=$187.84...you got the 187 part right...it's like a homicide on your wallet...so what do you guys think? or do you have a better brand suggestion?

unless you are racing or have highly modified your engine, stick with the stock plugs and wires. You wont see any difference. Those platinums heat up quick I would stay away from them. Not worth the money.

I agree with Stykthyn, stick with stock plugs. You'll just be throwing your money away on platinums. Money you could put towards a more worthwhile mod.

Yeah, unless you make distributor upgrades the wires won't make much difference.

As every one else has said, just a waste.

With the Hemi, it is hard to overcome the mighty DC computer to get major gains. Look how long it took all the chip manufacturers to make something for us. Even then it is just a modest increase. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that unless you dump some serious money into a forced induction setup, you will only get minimal gains in HP with all the chips, CAI, exhaust, etc with the ones I listed as the "most" benefitial (its all relative).

unless you are running some sort of forced induction or NOS, there is NO reason to change plugs. Even then you are only changing to a different heat range. Wire size, plug tips, etc make no difference. Friend of mine bought the Bosh Plat +4 and I was ready to pimp slap him. Actually bought into the idea that four sparks were jumping off the end and made his car faster. You want to see some combustion gains go talk to Mallory or MSD and upgrade your ignition. My camaro pulls down 450rwhp and I still use stock autolights.

I put the standard Champs back in mine at $1.79 ea, and it runs great. A lot of guys like NGK as well, but just stay with the single tip and call it a day, save the $150 difference. Also, don't bother with "Mopar" plugs...they're just the same Champs at $3.99.
