The computer has a built in speed limiter. If you really want to get past this, you can search the forums for "Speed limiter" or get a SuperChips programmer and change it.

supposedly if you turn the key and hold it (like you are turning the car on) while you are driving it will bypass the speed limiter, but you have to hold it down. I have tried this in my 2002 and it does turn off your speedometer, but i didn't get going fast enough to see if it works. Don't worry, it won't grind your starter.

It is due to your speed governor. Saftey measure taken so you do not blow up your engine.

Or more likely, the tires. The OEM tires are not rated for speed, hell, there not rated for rain for that matter(I'm not a fan of the OEM tires)

The greater question, why would you want to go faster than 109 mph in a 5,000 lb truck?

i hypertech programed mine and had her going over 120, my guestimate would be arount 126-132 mph racing a friends Dodge neon. that was with OEM tires, wasnt fun felt like i was going to die, started shaking at about 115 and just got worse from there, i saw my gas needle move quite a bit aswell, but thats what you get when you buy a hemi.

from my experince dont do it with stock tires, get some nice tires then chip it for speed. was alot of dun flying buy that neon though, sounded awsome aswell, damn i wanna go out and do it again!
