06 Hemi MPG
I currently own a 04 F-150 and I not happy with the power for the 14mpg. I got the biggest motor ford offered and the power sucks.
I want to buy a new Dodge Ram 1500 with the Hemi motor. I hear that the new Multi-Displacement works great and you can get around 20mpg.
What have other people heard about the mileage on the new Hemi?

Around town I get 15. Doing 55 it will get up to 20. I drive 400 miles round trip to work every 7 days. Some of it is 55 mph, some 70 and some of it is small towns. I average around 18 on those trips. I'll be driving to houston next week on the interstate. I'll let you know what it does. I have the new TRX4 ram 1500 with the new Hemi.
YOU CAN GET BETWEEN 20-22 MPG AT THAT SPEED. IN THE CITY I GET 14 OR LESS. ON THE UP SIDE THE HEMI IS FAST. IT MAKES YOU HAPPY WHEN YOU BLOW BUY SOME RICE BURNING TRUCK. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE GOOD EXHAUST
+1 on the mgp's above.
In heavy city crap, expect 14.
In lighter suburban travel, I get about 16.5-17.2, depends on how I luck out with the lights for the week.
Highway is another story... Cruising to CMP, I get about 22 in fair to light traffic... 23.2 in zero traffic..
If I drive like a butthole and try to be "first" away from every light, I get about 11.5 in the burb and if I ramp it up to 75 on the hwy, I get about 19.
