Question about factory foglight install
When we purchased up our Ram 2 weeks ago, the dealer forgot to install foglights, so I went back today and picked up a kit. I ran the wire to the low beam wire as described in the directions. But now I'm wondering; if I run it to the parking light wire instead, would they come on with the high and low beam? That way they would be on when the parking lights are on too.
You may be able to do that if your truck did not come with factory fog lights (you should use a relay to handle the extra current load though)
But all 2002 and up 1500 ram,s have fully computer controlled headlights and the computer knows if both the high beams and the fog lights are on at the same time.
It even tels you if a bulb blows.
I am trying to accomplish this with my 2002 ram and have only found 1 site that has a fix so far.

Read their FAQ about this called the G3 system.
If you have any luck elsewhere please let me know.

What's the style of your truck? If it's SLT it may be pre-wired for fogs and you just need to buy a cheap harness and don't even need to pop the hood to do the install. See if you got a n open plug falling close to the driver's side or passanger side fog light area.
