Default Trouble codes

For the Dodge mechanics out there...What is a 1491 or P01491 code? My "Check Engine" light came on yesterday and had a buddy check it out on his scanner. Unfortunately, his book only goes up to 999. I don't notice any change in the way it runs or any odd sounds.
Thanks,
Mike

Im no mechanic, but from what I found check your 25 amp radiator fan fuse.

It seems to be a radiator fan problem, and judging by google, is fairly common (enough to fill the first page of results) on 2002 1500 rams.

Thanks for the posts!
I looked into it a little more and found out that it is an A/C Condenser Fan Problem. I looked at the fuses and the #39 A/C Condenser Fan fuse is blown. I put another fuse in and hit the A/C and it blows again. So, I unplug the fan put in another fuse, hit the A/C and it is ok. As soon as I plug in the fan, it blows. The fan free-wheels but it still could be a short in the fan itself. Price of the fan..$47 from dealer. They also said I would need the shroud and wiring for $135 and $9.25 respectively. I'm not sure why I would need the shroud and wiring

Did you know on a newer generation Ram...
Turn on the key 3 times (without starting) that the digital odometer will kick out the error code

With the key on...
Hold the trip meter button for 3 seconds, the engine hours is displayed

I thought that it was kinda cool..
Thanks for the help,
Mike

I take mine to Glenn E. Thomas on Cherry Av. and Spring St. They're a reputable dealer that has been in the area for a coupla hundred years or so...;0)
