Info needed on 2006 Ram purchase
Newbie here with a question or two about purchasing a 2006 Ram.
I live in the North Texas area, interested in a SLT Ram, regular cab, hemi, automatic, 20" wheels, and trailer towing pkg. I have searched the Dodge inventory website, and the closest dealer with a similiar vehicle in stock is about 400 miles away in Missouri, (MSRP 29,000......dealer discount 2,500.....and then 3,000 rebate = 23,500 purchase!?
Anyone know of a dealer that tends to stock this type of truck.
What type of discount should I expect on a MSRP of $29,000?
Thanks in advance for your time and information.

WHY DON'T YOU ORDER ONE FROM YOUR DEALER? I DID . IT TOOK ABOUT 4 WEEKS AND YOU ORDER WHAT YOU WANT. THE REBATES WILL ONLY GET BETTER WITH SPRING AROUND THE CORNER. THE COOL THING THE WINDOW STICKER SAYS 'BUILT ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR NAME'. IT WAS PRETTY COOL

ORIGINAL: RamSport2500
I couldn't find what I wanted in the entire USA. I finally ordered my 06 2500 4x4 Hemi QC Short Bed and LOVE it. Might as well order and pay for what you want.

Do they not have the Chrysler Financial Credit or as the dealers call it, the CFC. I found Chrysler financing to be competitive as far as intrest and there is no penalty for paying off early, so if you normally pay cash, just finance it and pay it off in a month.
My truck was 31K on sticker and I paid like 22.5 OTD. This was the employee rate and like 6K in rebates at the time. I think you might be able to do a bit better on the dealer's pricing. Most around here paid in the neighborhood of 6.5K-9K off sticker, with a few more and a few less. I basically depended on the model, year, and rebates at the time.
