Wow! Really? I would be happy to pay that price. I guess it depends where you live and how much of a hassel the Line-X dealer thinks this procedure is. I would of thought painting the rocker panels could be done fairly cheap? Guess I was wrong.

If I can get a quote for less than $400, I plan on getting my rockers done as well. I haven't went out for any quotes yet though.

Has anyone hauled dirt or sand with the spray in liners? If so, was it hard to rinse it clean? [sm=headbang.gif]

GreyGhost, If you find someone to do it for less, let us know. I swear both of these dealers were like dragging their feet on painting the rocker panels. It was like, we can do it but its going to cost you. If it was my business, I'd do anything the customer asked as long as I made a profit. Their take on it was, we'll charge a lot and then no one will buy it. There are a few more dealers in the area but I'll have to drive (100 miles) get there. I'll call around and see what they want.

I'm a LINE-X dealer.

LINE-X and Rhino differ quite a bit. The biggest difference is that LINE-X contains polyurea and Rhino does not. Polyurea enhances the bedliner’s properties: 1. LINE-X's temperature tolerance is 250 degrees and Rhino's is 175. As the temperature of the bed approaches the temp tolerance, it loses its strength. 2. Polyurea keeps moisture out of the solution thus making a more dense and solid liner. Less moisture also means better adhesion. 3. Polyurea also makes for a tougher liner. The tear strength of LINE-X is 304 pounds per linear inch (pli). Rhino is 145 pli. 4. Polyurea sets up very fast, that's one reason why LINE-X goes on with heat and high pressure. LINE-X dries in about 4 seconds, so you get an even application throughout the bed. Rhino takes a minute or so to even gel, an hour or so to dry. Before it gels, gravity can pull the liner from the top ridges in to the low valleys. Rhino’s Tuff Stuff goes on cold/low pressure and thus can have that “cottage cheese†or “rain on the windshield†look. LINE-X’s high heat/high pressure system gives it a very nice finished and more consistently applied texture, it’s sort of like an orange peel. The dealer can vary the texture from smooth to very rough. 5. Polyurea makes the liner more chemical resistant, especially to organic oils and solvents.

LINE-X offers a written nationwide lifetime warranty. Rhino’s warranty is only with the dealer that sprayed it.

Regarding the do-it-yourself stuff, your not even talking apples to apples if you try to compare it with the professional products.

Yeah, I'll be checking the prices out soon. There is a member here by the name of "Drew" that had the rocker panels sprayed, I'm pretty sure he said he got it done for less than $400. Drew..... are you out there?

Cruizin90, thanks for the info...good stuff!

here I am I had replied to this earlier, but what I had done to my truck was all at once. I had the Bed Sprayed over the rails, with bed rails installed, westin step bars and also Line-x down the rocker panels. in all I payed a hair over $1000 for the entire deal. the rockers were right at about 350-400 more I believe, which was just short of the price of the bed alone because of the prep work that is involved, but it was DEFINATELY money WELL spent.

my truck is grey, and the Line-x is black, the colors actualy complement each other very well. I was amazed, and so was the owner of the store who took pictures of my truck to hang in his shop since he had never done something like this before with results as good as this

Edit: if you get the bed sprayed and the rockers done at the same time you might be able to get a deal since you already have the truck there. that is how I was able to get the price I was.

I use to be a technical trainer for a major aftermarket outlet, our corporation looked into a few liner programs. They all seemed very comparable but Rhino has the name. And I'm very curious when Rhino switched to "spraying on cold and at low pressure"..Ive been out of the game for a few years, but when I left it was a high pressure system. Seemed to me the biggest difference was the ratio of ISO to Resign..one company used 2:1 while the other used 1:2 also, when did they change there warranty? It use to be valid at any dealer. I'm a little partial to Rhino for obvious reasons, but knowing what I know now...I would let the local price sway my vote.

Thanks Drew for the pics and info. I'll ask them if they would give me deal if I do both at the same time. Really like the look of your rocker panels. Never have to worry about rocks flying up and chipping the paint.

I forgot to add, if anyone is wondering how the Line-x is holding up a year and a half after the spray. . .the stuff still looks practicaly new, no missing chunks, no scratches. the worst looking part is at the rear wheels when I dump the clutch in the loose stuff, and simple green will make it look all better
