Default Gibson Super Truck Exhaust

Does anyone have any information on the Gibson Super Truck Exhaust for the 3.7L V-6? Any weird sounds at high rpm's (above 3000)? Any performance gains?

I'm figuring that I won't have too much of a loss of back pressure since the stock catalytic converters will still be in place. I don't think I want to be the Guinea Pig on a $300 exhaust though.

By the way 2002ramon24s in your signature you state that the Jet Stage 1 was a waste of money...I was thinking of purchasing the module, what's your reasoning on that statement? Any first hand dyno numbers or any claims from the manufacturer?

thanks, Mark

i dont have numbers or anything from the manufacturer but it might have helped but i put it on the same time i put my 24s back on. so i could have lost the performance i gained when i put my wheels back on. i dont know if u want i make u a deal on the one i have i was thinking of going to a stage to or maybe do my exhaust now.

Hey Ramon check your Pm's about your Jet Chip. Got an email from the guy at Gibson today here's what he told me.

"I will not say it sounds like a tuner car. It will be an aggressive deep
throaty sound but is still going to sound like a 3.7L V-6. As far as back
pressure goes, Yes this will effect some low end performance. It flow's a
bit much for a V-6. Are you going more for looks and sound or performance?"

I emailed him back requesting a recommendation for an exhaust system that would have a good sound but not sacrifice low end torque. I'm not trying to pull out tree stumps but I'm not willing to sacrifice what little power the truck has for looks and sound.

im going with a magnaflow single in single out cat back. i was getting ready to order it the day my rear end went out. i have heard many of quiet magnaflow exhausts. i know it wont sound best like a v8 but it should sound good for a V6. im hoping to get my truck back wed since i still dont have my parts
