Default 2nd opion wanted

Hello everyone,

I have posted in a long time, but guys have been helpful to me in the past. I wanted to get a rust spot on ds bed sanded and touched up. But the body shop says the panel needs replacing. I wanted to get your opinions. I know it is not the greatest shot but I hope you get the picture.

The long term fix would be new panel.

It can be grinded/filled and will look good for a while, but it would likely bubble again.

like the others have said, the damage has started, it can be taken off and fixed, but it will come back worse then it is now.

damn!!!!!!!! The body shop says the only place I can get a new is thru dodge, and that is like 1K. I guess I will start eyeballing some local wrecking yards, because I am not paying that price. Then I will have it installed once I get the new color painted on the truck this spring.

It would really be to your benefit if you would give better details about what you are looking for. There is an outfit near where I live that has factory new take-off beds, from truck conversions, but if I don't what it is you are looking for, I can't help

There is definitely more rust there than you can see. It has probably extended under under the paint. Strip the whole panel or replace it.

Maybe costly but replace the panel, you won't regret it.
